July 17th, part II to Fair Farm Ashville, New York State

Around noon the fog cleared and Margie drove Rick and me to the New Martinsville airport. When we took off there was still some haze, but when we cleared Pittsburg Intl. Airport vision got much better. We were headed towards the annual Goose Creek Fly In, in Asville, NY. Jeff and Mary Carlson organize the event since quite a few years. Almost the whole family is a pilot, Jeff himself used to be a Northwest captain. So they have their unique airport with floatpond next to their house, and when Rick and I arrived after a bumpy ride, there were only a few pilots. Both from SuperCub.org: Tim and Tim. We had a nice time together exchanging news, and getting to know the other people around. We were invited to have dinner on the deck, and a luxurious sleeping place in the house. Of course we will assist the family tomorrow with the fly in. We will be up at 6.00 am.
