July 1-2 Night at the cabin

Dan invited me to join me for a ride in the pickup to their cabin. He had some goods to bring there overland and we could sleep there also. Instead of 10minutes flying, it took us almost 90 minutes to get there. After Pleasant Farm it was just tracks. The last part Dan needed an ATV to get the things over. For that time I was left alone in the wilderness, comforted by the can of BearSpray Vicky had given me.
Anyhow I slept real well. Dan got us a steak+ eggs + toast  breakfast. It had been raining during the night. So the intended job of runway grass cutting had to be cancelled. Instead we drove back into town. On the track we met a nice couple of cranes. Dan and Vicky will fly up to the cabin later for the weekend. I will prepare myself to hit the road to the south tomorrow. Hope the sky is clear by then, so I might see the mountains this time.
